KISS has always used the mantra "Keep It Simple S__pid" in their approach to product development. Without question KISS Rebreathers have been on some of the most demanding expeditions around the world.
The most striking feature of the Sidekick is its small size. Without the loop hoses, the unit measures 21.25 inches (54 cm) in length by 7.25 inches (18.4 cm) in diameter. This compact profile, combined with the unit's simplicity of design and reliable mechanical operation make it well suited for use as a side mount GEM SCR or CCR rebreather, bailout rebreather or simply as an add on gas extender, with none or very few modifications required to fill all of these roles.
Dimensions: 21.25 inches (54 cm) long by 7.25 inches (18.4 cm) in diameter.
Scrubber Capacity: 5.2 lb (2.4 kg) of Sofnolime 408 grade absorbent (different brands may have different weights). Can also use Micropore cartridge, part number SR-0801C.
Weight: fully assembled, ready to dive with full scrubber 22.2 lb (10.1 kg).
Gas Compatibility: Air, Nitrox and Trimix.
KISS Sidewinder Sidemount Rebreather
Sidemount rebreathers have historically taken on the form factor of a sidemount open circuit tank. While this design attempts to mimic the streamlining of a sidemount cylinder, often hydrostatic work of breathing issues result if the unit isn't perfectly rigged and mounted. Even when it is, the work of breathing is only optimal when in certain diving positions.
The KISS Sidewinder rebreather solves these issues by splitting the canisters on the diver's left and right sides. These are connected by one 8-liter counterlung, which spans across the diver's back. The result is a super clean, streamlined configuration which provides excellent work of breathing in most diving orientations.
Our standard configuration comes the following way:
Primary PO2 Monitor is a Hardwired Shearwater Petrel
Secondary Display is a Nerd 2 with 4pin connector
3X Oxygen Sensors with Molex style connector
KISS dual button - bottom loading MAV (for side mount)
Syntactic foam insulation
KISS Sidewinder Specs:
Depth rating:300 fsw / 91 msw
Scrubber Type:bi-axial design

Weight:Complete with BOV, harness and wing (minus tank and sorb) 21-lbs. / 9.5 kg.
The KISS Sidewinder does not include:
Since most sidemount divers already own a sidemount harness they like, the Sidewinder does not include a sidemount harness or wing.
Diluent/Bailout regulator(s) and tanks
KISS Classic Tech Explorer MCCR
Since the introduction of the first production model in 1999, the KISS Classic has earned a reputation as the most durable, reliable and easiest to maintain closed circuit rebreather on the market. Due to its ability to be used in harsh, and extremely remote locations - which have included some of the deepest cave systems in the world - it has also obtained status as a true expedition-grade rebreather.
It was called the Classic for its simple straightforward configuration, with the rebreather’s head and scrubber centrally positioned on the diver’s back and flanked by the unit’s oxygen and diluent supply on either side. This layout follows that of the majority of rebreathers built today. The most outward differences between the KISS system and other non-military rebreather of the era was that the Classic’s two counter-lungs were back mounted instead of being mounted over the shoulder.
